Do I get my domain name back if I leave?

Yes. Unlike some other companies, we don’t hold your domain name to ransom. If you cancel your subscription we will transfer your domain name to a new website company or domain registrar free of charge. Alternatively, you can downgrade to a cheaper subscription with Upstage and we will continue to manage your domain for you.

Can I upgrade my subscription?

Yes. You can upgrade your subscription whenever you want and we will add the extra features straight away. We charge an upgrade fee based on the difference between the subscription you currently have and the new subscription level and the number of months left to your next renewal. You pay the full price for the new subscription level at your next renewal.

Can I downgrade my subscription?

Yes, but we will only change your subscription level, subscription fee and site features at the next annual renewal date.

Can I transfer my existing domain?

Yes. In order to ensure a high level of service, we need to manage your site and your domain name. We will work with your existing registrar or website company to take over your domain name. We will do our best to expedite the process but you and your existing registrar will have to do your bit too and it make take a while before we can begin construction of your site. We will keep you informed all the way.

Can I import my details from another website?

Yes. We’re here to make setting up your website as easy as possible. Once you sign up, we will send you a link to an online form that you can use to submit your details. It’s very simple and we do all the geeky stuff for you.

You can give us your Spotlight PIN and we’ll copy your details over. Alternatively, you can give us a link to another website and we will do our best to copy the information for you. You can even send us a Word document and we’ll use that.

How do I send you my showreel, pictures and voice clips?

The easiest way is to upload them when you give us your information after sign-up. But you can also send us your showreel on DVD, your voiceover demo on CD and your pictures by post and we will digitise them for you. If you have video clips online, for example on YouTube, we can link to them automatically. You don’t have to wait until you have all this information ready, we can set up your site now and the showreel, gallery or voice clips later.

Do I need any technical skills?

You don’t need to be Bill Gates to get an Upstage website. We do all the geeky stuff for you. We’ll help you pick a good domain name and register it for you. We can digitise your showreel, audio clips and pictures if you post them to us. Depending on your subscription level, we’ll even optimise your site to make it easier for Google to find you. With our Max package, you don’t even need to update your site. Just email us your changes and news items and we’ll do all the work for you. It really couldn’t be any easier.

How do I update my site

Except for the Basic subscription level, you can edit your site whenever you want over the internet. We will give you a user name and password. You can log in and change your bio, edit the text on the different pages, add news or blog posts etc. We’ll give you detailed instructions on how to do it but if you can send an email, you can update your site.

With our top-of-the-line Max subscription, you don’t even need to do that. Just email us your changes or news items and we’ll do everything for you. How’s that for service?

How long will it take to build my site?

Your website is lovingly hand-built by human beings. Typically, it takes two to three working days.

It may take a little longer if we have to transfer your domain name from another company or if there are other complications.

We can build your site now and add things like video clips, sound clips and photos later so you can sign up today and update later.

How does the 30-day guarantee work?

We want you to be happy with your site. You can cancel your subscription for any reason within thirty days and we will give you a full refund. It’s as simple as that. After thirty days, you can cancel at any time but without a refund.

Are there any hidden charges?

No. The prices you see above are all inclusive. They include registering your domain name, setting up and hosting your website and visitor stats. If you sign up for the Max subscription we will also do all your updates for you. We will even scan in your photos, digitise your voiceover demos and showreel DVDs. The only tiny exception is if you want us to register more than one domain name, in which case we charge a small fee for each additional name.

What types of payment do you accept?

Currently we accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Electron, Switch, Mastro, Solo and American Express. We use PayPal so that your financial information is completely secure.
